Subsequent to NCR, after joining Nokia Networks he continued the journey and in very short span of time was made the Country Director of Nokia Siemens Networks after the merger. Only after 15 months of heading NSN in Pakistan, he was given the portfolio of Vice President (Head of Sub Region) for Gulf and Pakistan Sub Region, where he again excelled with his innovative approach towards creating strong customer relationship, developing passionate, motivated teams and gaining, in some cases regaining, market share with key customers. Later he was given additional responsibility and a bigger portfolio to head the Middle East Africa – East Sub Region for Nokia Siemens Networks. He achieved significant growth in key markets specially Iraq and Iran and got the higher Employee Engagement result for all Sub Regions within the Middle East Africa region for NSN for two consecutive years. Subsequently, he joined Comptel Corporation as member of Executive Board, Senior Vice President heading the Middle East and Africa region. A high achiever throughout his career and a marketer par excellence, he is known for his out of box approach, strong customer relationship skills, inspirational speaking abilities which has always helped him towards leading teams successfully and growing the business.

Shabbir Baxamoosa

Mr. Shabbir Baxamoosa brings with him, 35 years of extensive experience in designing, operating, and managing advanced technology business units. He has led Information Technology divisions of various banks and possesses a versatile technical background, effective people management skills, extensive experience of computer and communications technologies.

Mr. Baxamoosa has a broad based industry experience in particular with financial services and government. During his career he has held many international positions including senior management in the Central Bank of Pakistan and several national and private banks. His extensive experience with various banking technologies and applications include setting up large scale and robust Alternative Distribution Channels, Call Centers, Business-Intelligence Units, Data Warehousing and Core Banking systems, makes him a pioneer in the industry.

Mr. Baxamoosa was the first to introduce the concept of Data-Warehouse and major call center services in Pakistan. In communications, he has worked with a wide spectrum of connectivity solutions and infrastructure ranging from Copper based to Wimax.

Mashkoor Hussain

Mr. Mashkoor Hussain has spent almost four decades in the telecom industry with PTCL, the largest service provider for fixed line and broadband services in Pakistan. He possesses technical background, effective HR management skills and Commercial expertise. In his recent assignment Mr. Hussain was Head of Operations, Corporate Affairs and Commercial. He was also Chairman Pakistan Telecom Employees Trust, with a Rs. 47 Billion portfolios, and Board Member of Telephone Industries Pakistan, Carrier Telephone Industry, Pakistan Software Export Board, Telecom Foundation and Paknet.

Mr. Hussain has been involved in the major restructuring of PTCL with extensive process re-engineering. He has been extensively involved in the planning & development and introduction of undersea international optical fiber connectivity i.e. SME3, SME4 and IME. Mr. Hussain has closely negotiated and coordinated with Ministry of IT & Telecom, Privatization Commission, JP Morgan and Pakistan Telecom Authority for the Privatization of PTCL. He represented and worked with investors to perform due diligence of the company for privatization. Post privatization of the company he was responsible to launch PTCL’s broadband, wireless telephony (WLL) and IPTV services throughout the country.

Noor ud din Baqai

Nooruddin Baqai has been a key leader of the Telecom industry in the capacity of Member Technical and Executive Director in PTCL incumbent board. He has been board member of various reputable companies i.e. PTCL, Ufone PTML, National ICT R&D Fund and Universal Service Fund. He has also served as the Chairman National Telecom Corporation and PTET for 3 years.

Mr. Baqai led the country in WTO Accord of 1997 on telecom along with Pakistan Mission to Geneva, attending all deliberations till its culmination and signing of landmark Telecom Accord 1997. He been instrumental in the regulatory reform project sponsored by World Bank, to set up regulatory bodies namely PTA and FAB. His vast professional experience includes work with Bear Stearns, Deutche Morgan Grenfell and Goldman Sachs International (GSI) UK on policy, legal and regulatory framework that led to issuance of Policy Draft Statement 2000. Nooruddin Baqai later joined the Ministry of Information and Technology as head of Country’s Telecom Sector. In this senior role he supervised fixed line and cellular mobile formulation and licensing work.
